Elastic Hair Bands from Watsons

I usually buy hair bands from the market or what we call here "tiangges" because, they're cheap like I can buy 2 hair bands for around 5pesos only. So when I bought these hair bands from Watsons I almost hate myself for picking it. 

The 20 pieces hair bands is around 50 pesos. It comes with thick and thin, black and white, and striped bands too! 

When I tried it, it wasn't bad after all. It's durable enough to hold my thick hair so durable that I have to fight the hair band to stretch it! 

Overall, my 50 pesos is worth it.

Nichido Beauty Cake - Classic Mint

Halloween is coming close and pale/ghostly/dead looks are in. I've been checking facepaints around here and the price ranges from 100 to 800 pesos. That's a bit pricey for me so I checked some drugstore makeups to see if I can find some light foundation, and I did! 

Say hello to Nichido Beauty Cake in Classic Mint. 

Yup you're right it's cheaper than facepaints.
For just 80 pesos you can complete your Halloween look.

The SA from Nichido advised me that this is better for Halloween makeup since green foundations evens out redness and that's why it creates something of a white color.

It's really minty green in color (see small pic at the bottom right of the picture) but you can see at first shot I had a white cake foundation. 

You need a damped sponge to get the product because it doesn't work when you use a dry sponge. 

Let's start first with the skin test.

THE EXPERIENCE

• Cheap makeup if you're only using it on special occassions like Halloween. Cheaper than the facepaints take note! 
• Available almost everywhere. I bought this one from Watsons, and I think all Watsons has Nichido stalls.
• Not pigmented. We need to put 2 layers on her face to achieve that look.
• It's hard to apply evenly on the skin. I think the damp sponge may cause it. Because when we try to apply the second layer, some of the first layer wipes out when the sponge touches it. 

Beauty Cake in Classic Mint is ok for me, I just wish they have a liquid type of this foundation so it's easier to apply. But hey if you need a cheap alternative or you ran out of facepaints this Halloween you can try this.

By Flower Lip Scrub from Nature Republic

Since I have a really dry lips and the weather is getting unpredictably humid here in Manila, I decided to by a lip scrub. At first, I really don't know where to find lip scrubs, I tried to check the local drugstores and department stores around here but I can't find any. Until I came across Nature Republic it's a Korean cosmetics shop pretty much like Etude and Tony Moly. They only have one lip scrub variety when I got there (I was expecting lip scrubs with different flavors) and it's the BY FLOWER LIP SCRUB.

I bought it for 235 pesos.

This is what it looks like when you squeeze it out from the tube. 

This size should be enough for your lips.

And it looks like this when you scrub it off. Don't forget to rinse your lips after scrubbing it.

Really gentle on the skin and really smells good (it smells like citrus)

THE EXPERIENCE

• It exfoliates my lips very well.
• It doesn't hurt when I scrub it on my lips.
• Smells nice
• I need to put a lip balm right after it because my lips tend to get dry after using it. I don't know why, maybe my lips are too dry I suppose. :P
• Price is okay because you only need a tiny amount to use and you don't need to use it everyday or else you might hurt your lips.

See the difference? The flakiness on my lips was lessen and I think my lips got lighter here compared to the before pic which is a bit dark. Also, take note that do not overdo lip scrubbing as it will damage your lips. Just do it once or twice a week.
